CATCH THE CUBAN has proven himself adept at chasing without actually going to score just yet. Off the same mark as his latest Wincanton 2nd he can go one better as he sharpens up. ADMIRALS SUNSET is feared and respected having won a nice double in these ranks before being pegged back on hat trick bid after a further 9lb rise saw her unable to land a blow. She’s down 3lb and might be able to recover after a rest.

Race 4 – Taunton Racecourse
DATA PROTECTION is a capable recruit from the flat for the Muir & Grassick team who should be fighting fit after a good 3rd after a wind operation. If he can see out the trip he should be able to make a positive first impression over timber. HUELGOAT demands respect for Paul Nicholls who has won all 3 iterations of this race. Last seen 2nd at Exeter when sent off at odds-on, he has since had wind surgery of his own and could improve off that now also sporting a first-time hood.

EBONY GALE won over C&D back in March and while his 2nd of 2 was a disappointing one at Fontwell in September he went much closer when 2nd of 5 at Kempton last month and could fire up well for the return here. YOUNG TURK is the only other runner in this race and isn’t likely to land a blow as he runs through a dry streak.
