Race 1 – Huntingdon Racecourse
ELOGIO tore it up when home with 10 in hand in an Aintree bumper back in November. He has since changed hands for a nice £80,000 and could make a winning debut under rules. ALIIHIES was a decent flat performer across the Irish Sea and demands respect now under the care of Dan Skelton.
Top Tip – ELOGIO (4)
One to consider – ALLIHIES (1)
Race 2 – Huntingdon Racecourse
SHELDON notched a 14 length success at Stratford in October before being plagued by a couple of falls in November. He bounced back in goof style at Exeter on New Year’s Day and could have more to come off just 4lb higher. OZZIE MAN managed a nice double before having to settle for 3rd at Plumpton in December. He has a 5lb claimer aboard this time and could kick off another winning streak.
Top Tip – SHELDON (1)
One to consider – OZZIE MAN (7)
Race 3 – Huntingdon Racecourse
KING ALEXANDER won on bumper debut before being 22 lengths 2nd at Hereford in October. He wasn’t much in 6th since but the standard of the effort suggests he should not be taken lightly. AMOOLA GOLD was 13+ downfield when 3rd over fences at Wetherby on Boxing Day. A return to timber can see him build on his promise shown all those years ago.
Top Tip – KING ALEXANDER (3)
One to consider – AMOOLA GOLD (1)
Race 4 – Huntingdon Racecourse
HEAD LAW made a pleasing return to the track when 3rd at Kempton after 266 days off. With the cobwebs gone he can tap into the standard of his 2022 season that saw him notch a pleasing hat trick, kicked off by a narrow C&D success in March. AGGAGIO is on the radar following a fair win at Leicester in December. Another 5lb is going to be felt but he’s certainly showing his ability in this sphere.
Top Tip – HEAD LAW (6)
One to consider – AGGAGIO (9)
Race 5 – Huntingdon Racecourse
LARGY NIGHTS has found 2nd in both outings following a 218 day absence. Last seen clear of the pack along with 1st when fitted with blinkers, he can go one better despite a 4lb rise for his efforts. POST CHAISE won with 3+ in hand on chase bow at Hereford early this month. Another go off 8lb higher could see him remain undefeated in these ranks but he has a lot more to do here.
Top Tip – LARGY NIGHTS (7)
One to consider – POST CHAISE (3)
Race 6 – Huntingdon Racecourse
CHORAL WORK showed a step in the right direction when 2nd over the extended 20f at Leicester in late November. She is up just 2lb for the display and could find due compensation having ample scope for improvement in the handicaps. PORTER IN THE PARK was 22 lengths 2nd when last seen in the novice ranks at Wincanton. Now going handicapping he could leave that behind him off a workable 96 mark.
Top Tip – CHORAL WORK (1)
One to consider – PORTER IN THE PARK (4)
