EARL OF WISDOM did strong late work in 4th at Wincanton back in February and has since had wind surgery. Between that and the rise in trip this Colin Tizzard charge can get his head in front. SHUTUPSHIRLEY caught the eye when striking the crossbar on handicap bow at Taunton and should have more to come off a 2lb higher perch on comeback run.

BALLYBREEN won his penultimate outing by a huge 32 lengths and wasn’t disgraced last time in 2nd at Exeter. He comes back from 288 days off and can make a big impact off a mark of 105. CUSHUISH was posting improved efforts toward the end of last season and should be a player on season bow.

Race 4 – Chepstow Racecourse
COQUELICOT gets the vote to get her progression back in track after a decent pipe opener on the flat at Nottingham late last month. She has had wind surgery and should find further improvement from that as she also goes up in trip on handicap bow. MISTY BLOOM got the job done at Ludlow on penultimate start and should be fighting fit after a Warwick 5th at the end of September.

BRAVE SEASCA makes appeal shifting to chase ranks after winning over timber at Huntingdon back in February. He should be up to the task for Venetia Williams. BREWERS PROJECT won emphatically over hurdles back in April and is another making chase bow who could have a big impact.

MUMBO JUMBO showed good staying ability when 2nd on debut in a Newbury bumper. He has since had wind surgery and should benefit for the up in trip now going hurdling. COACHMAN won without effort between the flags in Tipperary and has to be considered making rules bow.

WALK ON HIGH gets the nod on debut for Harry Fry as a well-bred sort who should be well-readied for this task. LAST QUARTER gets a nod for winning on his bumper debut at Punchestown back in March and David Pipe’s yard demand respect in this event having won this twice of late.
