GENERAL HANCOCK has sharpened nicely for the application of blinkers, last seen 2nd by a neck over this trip at Turffontein he could take the final step to shedding the maiden tag. PORTRAYAL was a promising 3rd when returning from being gelded but misfired on return when 13th. He sports blinkers today and could get his act together.

LEMON DELIGHT was a solid 3rd on yard bow for Stuart Pettigrew over this trip at Turffontein. Now making local debut she could find further improvement over the 8f range. MAGICAL FLIGHT has sharpened nicely for the fitting of blinkers and now back up in trip could continue to progress.

TERRA TIME needed the run when 6th on comeback following a few months off. She returns to her winning C&D and should post an improved effort. RIVER DOON has done little wrong in 4 outings and is respected on return to her maiden winning trip.

ARVERNI WARRIOR has improved measurably with each run and was last seen taking out a C&D event by a head. He is entitled to build on that and could post a compelling bid for a double. WAQAAS has strong claims to a placing, he isn’t far back often and is very C&D suited.

FLAME FLOWER was well-backed on debut and justified that support over 7f here. Now upped a couple of furlongs, Paul Peter’s filly could put her experience to work and kick off an unbeaten streak. ANATURA returned to winning ways after a bit of a troubled streak. She is C&D suited and could be in the right mindset for an effective challenge.
