LA BANQUIERE needed the outing when 7th on comeback run/yard bow for Paul Peter. She fared better than it looks, only 3 lengths back. She should come forth nicely here. LIL WAHOO also needed her last run when 3rd on return from a short rest. She has fair claims to the frame here.

TABEUIA showed marked improvement for being gelded and fitted with blinkers, landing 3rd over the mile at Scottsville. Now back down in trip and back from a rest he could take the final step forward. BOLETO returns from several months off a new gelding and now could muster a compelling bid.

FLYING BULL has struck the crossbar the last thrice, which is form enough to take this sort of event out. NORDIC REBEL is a consistent player who is never too far from the action, he can keep the selection honest.

Race 4 – Vaal Racecourse
THE KOP was last seen a respectable 6th in a Listed contest at Turffontein at the end of October and should relish this drop in class. SOUTHERN SONG goes up in trip after back to back defeats by under a length into 3rd. She could get it right here as she likes the track.

ON CUE often finishes her races with conviction and does well over C&D. She hasn’t won as often as she should have and she could work on that here. ABALUS finished well when ¾ of a length 3rd over 6f here but was reported coughing. If the issue has been remedied Ashley Fortune’s filly could build on that effort.

Race 6 – Vaal Racecourse
BELLA CHICA won 4 in a row before being toppled into 6th in a hotly contested Listed race at Turffontein. Three runs back she had COLD FACT 2 ½ lengths in tow when scoring over C&D. She is worse off at the weights but remains capable of bouncing right back. COLD FACT was last seen beating none home at Greyville on AW debut and if she wants to reverse the form with the selection will need to leave that in the past.

Race 7 – Vaal Racecourse
MIDNIGHT BADGER was last seen 2nd by a neck over C&D one month ago. She has been building toward another career score since being fitted with blinkers and hasn’t got much left to do. GIN AND TONIC went down by a neck over 5f at Turffontein on comeback run and now fighting fit could prove too strong.

BLUE EYES capped off some useful placed efforts with a lacking 13th of 13 over C&D back in August. He races well fresh and could have developed further during the break. LIFE GOES ON won over this trip at Greyville at the start of November and is well-drawn to double down. He can throw down the gauntlet.

DARK TRAVEL was last seen 3rd by a head at Turffontein over 7f and now upped in trip once more could go one better. SERGEI misfired over C&D latest but his prior 3 outings saw him close up and placed. He doesn’t often run a bad race and can make immediate amends.
