BLINDEDBYTHELIGHTS gets the nod on debut for the mighty Paul Peter yard. This filly is very well bred and is sure to find plenty of support off the bat. HEART AND MIND showed plenty to like on debut when ½ a length 2nd over 4f here. With that under her belt she could go one better if the selection shows up green.

Race 2 – Vaal Racecourse
ROCK THE FOX was backed into oblivion on debut over C&D but was run out of it late and had to settle for 2nd. That rival was from an exceptional bloodline and we could see due compensation awarded. UNITED PRINCE couldn’t justify market support when 3rd on debut over this trip at Turffontein but was nonetheless pleasing. With that to work from, Paul Peter’s charge should find improvement.

Race 3 – Vaal Racecourse
FLYING VIXEN gets the vote on debut for Paul Peter in a fairly weak contest. Another well-bred type who should find strong support. Warren Kennedy is a pleasing booking to boot. PICARA has been coming to the boil nicely and came within a head of victory when fitted with first-time blinkers. She’s due a win by now and could find it if the selection doesn’t live up to expectations.

Race 4 – Vaal Racecourse
FORGOTTEN TIME has struck the crossbar the last twice, with JP TWO THOUSAND right behind him on penultimate outing. The two look the most promising of this field and can once again battle it out.

Race 5 – Vaal Racecourse
MOONSHININGTHROUGH is unbeaten in both outings to date and looks well-primed for a hat trick bid with a slight drop in yardage unlikely to be a problem. BARD OF AVON is in good heart of late and should be once more in the mix for Ashley Fortune.

Race 6 – Vaal Racecourse
FLYING BULL showed little sign of slowing down when victorious with 3+ in hand over slightly further here a fortnight ago. He was 3rd to a reopposing rival on penultimate outing so could be vulnerable in that regard. WOLFF’S WORLD is reaching peak fitness and has a solid C&D record, he would not be winning out of turn at this point.

Race 7 – Vaal Racecourse
VASEEM notched a nice 4 timer before not being disgraced in G3 company at Turffontein and bounced back somewhat when a length 2nd when back down in grade. A return to the C&D he is 3 from 3 over could see him keep that record alive. CELESTIAL LOVE hasn’t been great of late but if able to bring any of the standard that saw her notch her own 4 streak back in 2021 she can prove too good.

Race 8 – Vaal Racecourse
CORAPI has progressed well with each run to date and was last sighted winning her maiden convincingly over C&D last month. She should have more to come now heading into the handicap ranks. SUITED CONNECTOR has found the frame the last twice and has been consistent for quite some time without winning. He’s the kind that could get away with this on a good day.
