CLARKSON did just enough to win over the extended mile here last month. With that under his belt and a decent up in trip we can see him double down. WESTERN DANCE is in a good pocket of form of late, including a C&D win latest. She’s likely to be on the scene once more for Brett Webber.

GREENS wasn’t her best when last seen in September but the right call was made to rest her. She’s proven herself fairly useful, especially over this trip. Blinkers stay on and we could see her return to winning ways with Warren Kennedy retaining the ride. RIGHT CHOICE has won her last 3 in style and now paired with a 9lb claimer could shoot for a superb C&D 4 timer.

Race 4 – Vaal Racecourse
SAMOA has been doing good work of late without actually winning. She deserves more success than she’s seen and now tackling a fairly moderate field over an ideal C&D we could see her get back on the scoreboard. SABRINA FAIRCHILD won with style on over C&D return from 236 days off and could double down on the bounce, now paired with a 9lb claimer.

GODDESS OF LIGHT went down ½ a length on debut at 18/1 and came back over C&D to make things right, winning by the same margin. Paul Peter’s filly could prove tough to catch with those under her belt. BENGUELA COVE is a talented filly who dominated a very weak field with 9+ in hand. This is a tougher task but she could be up to it on class alone.

Race 6 – Vaal Racecourse
ELUSIVE SWANN has won 2 of his last 3 and wasn’t disgraced when ½ a length 2nd between victories. He does his best over this C&D and should present another strong account of himself. INDUS KNIGHT is finding his feet with each outing and a return to the mile could see another strong effort from Paul Peter’s charge.

SISTER LIGHT needed the run when 2nd after a brief rest. She’s a consistent type who should be able to eke out another score now fighting fit. SOUTHERN BLAZE took a leap forward when scoring with 2in hand at Turffontein 2nd outing. Now afforded the mile he could put his momentum to good use.

DAME OF FLAMES toppled a pretty ordinary line up with 4 in hand over the extended mile here a month back. Upped in yardage slightly she could double down from pole position with improvement against a stronger field. ANATURA hinted at a return to form when ½ a length 3rd over the mile here 9 days ago. She is C&D suited and could get back into the swing of things here.
