EAST COAST wasn’t too far back when 6th on debut over 6f at Turffontein. That run under his belt can see him sharpen up nicely now afforded another furlong. ELIJAH BLUE was spotted blowing when 5th on debut over 5f. He’s expected to come good here.

FASHIONIGMA has landed 2nd in 3 of her 6 outings and that may well be form enough to win such a mild event. ARABIAN SKY hasn’t delivered on the promise of her first couple of outings but could improve after a short rest.

MARADIVA needed the outing when not too far beaten in 6th on first run as a gelding. He’s fancied to build on the couple of 2nd finishes he landed after joining Paul Peter. FULLIAUTOMATIX has been slowly getting the hang of things and has to be considered after a C&D 2nd last month.

MUFASA has found the some prize money in all 5 outings, including a couple of wins over 6f at Turffontein. Well-drawn and with Warren Kennedy retaining the ride he looks very good here. RETALLICK can offer his stablemate plenty of resistance as a 3 time C&D winner but does have a 1657 day absence to answer for.

SLINGS AND ARROWS is a fairly useful type who should benefit from a couple months rest. He is well-drawn and has shown the capacity to do strong late work. FRONTLINE FIGHTER misfired latest but had been in a good pocket of form. He is worth forgiving for Paul Peter and can enter the fray.

IMPOSING ANGEL scored on yard bow for Paul Peter on first outing at Turffontein. She’s likely to take another step forward with such a useful springboard and Warren Kennedy in the irons. MONEY FIGHTER is starting to get back into the swing of things, not being disgraced in defeat of late. He has fair claims for some minor money.

SPEECHMAKER is in good shape of late and could keep the consistency up as he wasn’t disgraced in 2nd on hat-trick bids over 7f here. Going back over the mile she’s quite capable of getting another win to her name. WIKKEL SPIKKEL was denied a double in her post-maiden appearance by just ¾ of a length over this trip at Turffontein. Another go might see her compensated or at least find another minor cheque.

ICE MAN COMETH needed the run when 4th after a 187 day break. He’s trip suited and likely to prove much sharper this time around. DARK TRAVEL wasn’t good over slightly shorter here latest but had been doing some strong work prior so is worth chancing for Brett Webber.
