Race 2 – Scottsville Racecourse
SEXY SHIRAZ has found fair improvement for the fitting of blinkers. Now dropped in trip again, we could see her get the job done from pole positon. SPARKLING FLAME has been agonising for favourite backers, being toppled at short odds on numerous occasions. She has been doing good enough work of late to suggest her time will eventually come and it might be now.

MIGHTY MASHONA took a massive step forward when 2nd by a neck when tried over this trip at Greyville in December, gelding seems to have aided his cause marvellously. A similar effort from the same draw could see him go one better. QUIZ MASTER is interesting now making first start for Lorenzo Karriem, he has shown plenty of ability including a 2nd of his own over this trip on his sole attempt.

Race 4 – Scottsville Racecourse
CONCHITA is a C&D winner who wasn’t disgraced in 2nd over 7f here to a useful reopposing rival. A return to this trip and a swing at the weights can see her flip the result. HOT STRIKE has not been disgraced in both placed outings since winning here over 7f. She can make the most of a return to this track where the final stretch can see her truly kick into gear.

NAVAL SECRET has yet to run a bad race since joining Duncan Howells. The return to the mile and the best of the draws looks a good enough combination for him to strike. RALPH THE RASCAL is noted for his propensity for putting in late bids, often to no avail. Now at this track with a longer straight he could make a big splash on local bow.

MINGSHI opened the account with a shift of tactics over this trip at Greyville a month back. With Diego De Gouveia retaining the ride we could see a similar effort be rewarded from barrier 1. KING’S COVE has proven somewhat difficult to win with but has posted a few promising trip efforts that suggest he could bring home some minor money in this sort of line-up.

MASHARI had excuses when downfield over this trip at Greyville latest. His prior form is promising and he can make amends here from pole position. GO MAN GO was in good form all last year, if he picks up where he left off he could prove a big player over an ideal C&D.

DIAMOND GIRL is forgiven for a troubled 6th over C&D latest. Her prior form saw her rattle the crossbar in both post-maiden outings and she definitely has it in her to make amends here. FAMILY FAVOURITE is respected on return to the track and trip of her maiden win back in August. She hasn’t been enjoying Greyville much so she can build on her latest 4th here.
