THE HOOD was well-held but still promising when 4th on hurdle bow at Taunton at the end of 2021. He should improve for the experience.

Race 2 – Plumpton Racecourse
GUSGUS COLLONGES was touched off at the final moment when 2nd by a short head on double bid here. A drop in trip might aid him weather the 5lb hike as he searches for a second victory in these ranks. ZAMANI has been doing good work over timber lately and could bring the progression across to fences where he has scope for improvement.

HECOULDBETHEONE gave weight to a clever sort at Newbury on double bid. He had to settle for 13 lengths 2nd but was far from disgraced. In a field lacking that sort of calibre he can bounce right back for the red-hot Gary Moore string. QUICKBUCK was lacking in 9tyh on hurdle bow but should be better off for the outing. He has shown himself useful in the bumpers so is worth chancing again, especially with Nico de Boinville in the irons.

Race 4 – Plumpton Racecourse
MINELLA BUSTER had plenty in the tank when home by 24 lengths over the extended 20f here in late December. The extra run could see him unlock another gear and double down on handicap bow. PARICOLOR is in top shape, landing back on the scoreboard with 6+ in hand back in December but will do very well to concede 17lb to the selection.

REPRESENTING BOB has won all 3 of his outings over fences and looks capable of plenty more despite a further 9lb hike. He can handle this up in class as he continues to improve. LAVORANTE is respected on chase bow after showing some promise in the hurdle ranks. Gary Moore’s runners always have to be respected here.

HEY BOB rattled the crossbar a couple of times before getting it right over C&D in December. He can weather the 5lb hike for Olly Murphy. LEGAL OK is interesting as he is owned, trained, and ridden by the same man, Phillip York. He had 10 in hand when opening the hurdle account back in December 2020 and is worth a closer look after 413 days off.
