Race 1 – Plumpton Racecourse
YOUNG BUTLER was hampered early as Ascot and couldn’t recover his stride and was pulled up. Prior to that he won well at Chepstow so we can forgive that occasion and see him bounce back. PUMPKIN’S PRIDE showed some promise in 5th over C&D last month and could continue to progress here.

Race 2 – Plumpton Racecourse
DREAM IN THE PARK has struck the crossbar in the pointers and in both outings in the bumper ranks. Now shifting to timber, he won’t have to do too much to get a deserved win. MARK OF GOLD was a respectable 2nd over C&D latest and should be in the mix again.

Race 3 – Plumpton Racecourse
TOP AND DROP returned from 312 days off to eke out a win over 3m for Venetia Williams. With that under her belt and a fair 5lb hike we can see a nice double for an in-form yard. CHEQUE EN BLANC is a local winner who was a very promising 3rd over C&D on return from 254 days off. With the pipes open we could see Gary Moore’s 10 year old challenge.

Race 4 – Plumpton Racecourse
LAVORANTE was a very pleasing 3rd on hurdle bow but hasn’t been able to back it up in two subsequent appearances. Now sent off handicapping and up in trip, with his rider taking 3lb off we could see a big leap forward for this well-bred sort. ATAKAN has shown glimpses of promise in 3 outings to date and is similarly likely to benefit from a longer trip and going handicapping.

BLUEBERRY WINE unlocked serious improvement for a wind operation, bolting up at Sedgefield by a head on Boxing Day. With plenty of scope and Theo Gillard’s 5lb clam to remove the 5lb rise, Don McCain’s charge can go well indeed. EN COUER was found the frame in both outings here since wind surgery. A drop in trip might be enough to see him back to the winners’ enclosure.

SHIROCCY ROAD opened the account on 3rd start over timber, over this trip at Fakenham. He had an authoritative 9 lengths in hand that day and could go well now handicapping off a 102 mark. SAMI BEAR took a step in the right direction when 3rd over C&D and could find a 98 mark handy, with Jack Tudor taking 3lb off.
