Race 1 – Plumpton Racecourse
HERMINO AA caught the eye when 3rd on hurdle bow at Doncaster at the end of 2022. With that under his belt and a bit more trip to work over, he could make it 2nd time lucky in these ranks. BERTIE BLUE has shown some ability in the bumpers and could make a splash on hurdle bow now afforded a few extra furlongs.

Race 2 – Plumpton Racecourse
SHAW’S CROSS is most deserving having found 2nd three times running before being well-held in 4thn at Hereford early this month. A 1lb drop and a shortened trip might be enough for him to return to winning ways. SHERBORNE hasn’t taken seamlessly to chasing but it is too soon to write him off. He should be better off for his completed comeback run at Chepstow and the cheekpieces stay on.

Race 3 – Plumpton Racecourse
PONCHO is looking the one to beat after a pleasing 2nd on hurdle bow at Wincanton latest. Another furlong of run could be enough to see him open the account for Gary Moore. TREVOR’S LAD showed ample ability when 3rd on his rules debut at Fontwell back in November. He should build on that nicely here.

Race 4 – Plumpton Racecourse
BURROWS PARK made all to win with a healthy 9 in hand at Exeter 20 days ago. Another 6lb will be felt but now Ned Fox’s full 7lb comes into play we could see a superb double from Venetia Williams’ 11 year old. SIROBBIE showed his best in some time when ¾ of a length 2nd at Ludlow recently. He was run down late that day and could press his compensation claims off 3lb higher.

Race 5 – Plumpton Racecourse
SIZING CUSIMANO had some issues in the run when jumping left at Taunton but found a decent 4th in the end. He has slid down another 2lb and could prove a useful option if able to sharpen up and make the most of the low mark. UALLRIGHTHARRY is shooting for a nice double following an authoritative 7+ length success over C&D in mid-December. Another 5lb may prove a trouble as he hasn’t been able to strike off this mark in the past.

Race 6 – Plumpton Racecourse
EXECUTIVE POOL couldn’t unleash his full potential when 26 lengths 3rd in the muddy, heavy ground at Lingfield in mid-December. A 1lb drop and a better surface can see him make up plenty of ground in what should be a less trying race. TOMMY DILLON was the winner that day and while the 21 length margin is impressive, he has 12lb more to weather and will have to prove his ability over better ground.
