Race 2 – Nottingham Racecourse
NEW DIMENSION visibly improved in the run on debut at Leicester, sharpening rapidly to score by a head. With franked form to build from and some extra yardage, Sir Michael Stoute’s colt looks very hard to oppose. AUSTRALIAN HARBOUR was beaten favourite at Redcar latest but hasn’t been disgraced in both outings. He’s likely to have matured since and could put the right foot forward to Roger Varian.

QUICK CHANGE has found the frame in all 4 outings, including a 7f win at Wolverhampton latest. She can make her mark in the handicaps off a very workable 73 mark. CONVECTION finished last season with a promising 7f win at Kempton and could take the longer trip in stride for the in-form Ralph Beckett.

Race 4 – Nottingham Racecourse
MYSTICAL AIR won her maiden over this trip at Lingfield back in December 2020 before taking 483 days off. She made a most pleasing comeback when 3rd at Kempton and with the cobwebs gone Roger Varian’s filly looks capable of springing back into winning shape. SUNRISE VALLEY couldn’t settle properly when beating just one home on hat trick bid at Ascot. It is too soon to write her off and she’s likely to have more to offer as a 4 year old.

NOON STAR returns from 313 days off the track, with Sir Michael Stoute likely keeping his powder dry for this well-bred filly to make a splash on comeback. A similar effort to her Musidora 2nd or Ribblesdale 6th would see her very hard to oppose. TECHNIQUE has been denied into 2nd by a head at both G3 and Listed levels and should be in the equation off the back of that form.

Race 6 – Nottingham Racecourse
TRIBAL ART gets the nod for Mark Johnston who trained last year’s winner. Last seen home by a short head after a long bread and both gelding and wind operations, he can pounce with Ryan Moore taking the reins. GUMBALL returns from a somewhat decent chase campaign. His last turf appearance saw Fergal O’Brien’s charge home at York by a head. He won’t mind a shortened trip here and could be the answer reunited with Hollie Doyle.

IUR CINN TRA gets an emphatic nod to make a winning return after 152 days off following a narrow 6f win at Chelmsford. She has come close a couple of times over this trip on turf and represents a red-hot yard. SMILING SUNFLOWER has given glimpses of potential and makes her first outing for Darryll Holland, she could finally come good here with her ride taking a crucial 5lb off.
