Race 2 – Nottingham Racecourse
HOSANNA POWER made a strong impression when 2nd on debut at Doncaster at a nice 16/1 price. With that under his belt, Sir Michael Stoute’s colt could go one better now afforded another furlong. KINGSLEY PRIDE didn’t mind the heavy ground at Haydock when ¾ of a length 2nd at Haydock latest. Conditions look ripe today for him to build on that effort.

CHESSPIECE gets a shout on debut for the mighty Crisfords off a €100,000 price tag and some regal breeding. He should be ready for the task at hand. GARDEN ROUTE got away slowly on debut but managed to find a good 3rd. With that to work with, he can make a dent if getting away cleanly.

Race 4 – Nottingham Racecourse
CASH won well on debut at HQ in October 2021 before an extended absence. He made an impressive return when 2nd by a short head in the G3 Classic Trial at Sandown back in April. He hasn’t’ been seen since but if able to replicate the form he could be hard to beat. POWER UNDER ME won at this level when upped to the mile at Leopardstown. He looks very dangerous as he comes across the Irish Sea for some plunder.

OLEG didn’t take to a shortened trip when under 2 lengths beaten into 5th over 14f at Salisbury in late September. A return to 2m off a 1lb lower mark sees him open to a recovery. BOLLIN NEIL came within a nose of success over 14f at Catterick and warrants plenty of respect off the same mark.

DREAM COMPOSER makes strong appeal following a convincing success over this trip at Ascot at the start of October. A 5lb rise makes things tougher but a similar effort could be hard to peg back. SKY BLUE PINK has found the frame the last twice and should be thereabouts despite being 2lb out of handicap.

SHESADABBER and ZOOM STAR renew their rivalry after the selection was denied by a neck over this trip at Catterick last week. The selection is fancied to reverse the result now benefitting from a 5lb swing. ZOOM STAR won’t give up without a fight but the 5lb penalty does make things tough.

WOTS THE WIFI CODE made strong progress when upped to this trip at Doncaster, finding a pleasing 3rd. A 1lb higher mark isn’t of much concern and he can build further here. BILLY ROBERTS has been remarkably consistent and should make his presence felt, especially with his rider taking 5lb off his back.
