COUSU MAIN tore it up when home with 12 in hand and showing no signs of slowing over this trip at Uttoxeter latest. He can double down under penalty and shouldn’t be troubled by the heavy ground. BOBALOT was a pleasing runner-up in a Ffos Las bumper last month and could build now switched to timber.

ECLAIR DE GUYE didn’t enjoy the track at Plumpton when 7th in the Sussex National last month. Back from wind surgery and trying this more conventional track we could see him deliver on the promise he has shown over these sorts of trips. SNUFF BOX was a dominant winner at Bangor-on-Dee latest with 20 lengths in hand. The 5lb hike seems very lenient and he could prove too good if the selection can’t bounce back.

Race 4 – Lingfield Racecourse
OUR BILL’S AUNT wasn’t much to look at when 7th on debut over timber at Uttoxeter. She seemingly learned a lot that day as she made a pleasing impression when 2nd by ½ a length at Southwell when returned to the track. She can make it 3rd time lucky if building further. NIKOLAYEVA was fairly useful on the flat for Mick Appleby and hinted she’d be better in this sphere when 2nd at Ffos Las in similar going on hurdle/yard bow for Jamie Snowden.

MOVETHECHAINS notched a superb hat trick over C&D and has since been rested. He goes up in class for the in-form Gary Moore and could strike off bottom weight. FRENCHY DU LARGE is respected on hat trick bid and could put the selection to bed early if allowed a large enough lead.

SHOT BOII made huge improvement when sent way up in trip and fitted with cheekpieces at Ffos Las a fortnight back. The 7lb hike is fair and we could see plenty more from David Pipe’s gelding and his superior stamina. BELLAMY’S GREY overcame a few errors to land home with 11 in hand at Exeter latest and could offer the most resistance off 6lb higher.

WEST APPROACH scored gamely with a healthy 21 length lead in a 2 horse affair at Wincanton latest. A similar effort could see him double down for Colin Tizzard now he has his confidence up. DOLPHIN SQUARE landed a nice double in the handicaps over timber and is interesting back into the chase ranks where he has shown plenty to like and remains unexposed.
