OUT OF SHADOWS was toppled by an unexpected 33/1 winner when upped to this trip at Redcar. That effort followed a winning debut at Brighton and the form has held up well enough to have leading claims. TYRONE’S POPPY was a pleasing 3rd on debut at Catterick and backed it up beautifully when home with 2+ in hand at Ayr. He should have more to come for Tim Easterby.

Race 2 – Leicester Racecourse
SHALADAR has seemingly found his ideal trip range, discovering consistency over the mile. A further 4lb hike is removed by Oisin McSweeney’s lb claim and we should see more to come from Kevin Ryan’s gelding. ASTRAL BEAU kicked things off with a win on debut over 7f here and hasn’t been disgraced since.

Race 3 – Leicester Racecourse
ZAKRAM is forgiven his 6th at Doncaster when things didn’t seem to go his way. His prior efforts including a Lingfield success and Kempton 2nd are better representations of his ability. The turnabout may have been to rapid and now having had a bit of time to recuperate we could see the form be transferred to turf. ON THE PULSE was a narrow winner at Ffos Las on penultimate run but had to settle for 4th when trying to back it up. She can enter the mix again with a useful 7lb removed by her rider’s claim.

Race 4 – Leicester Racecourse
FOX DEGREE missed the jump at Newmarket latest, but still managed to find 2nd, beaten just ½ a length, with the winner going in again since. A 3lb hike isn’t a big concern and with a better start she can gain valuable compensation for Ralph Beckett. LILY IN THE JUNGLE is respected and feared on hat trick bid having won her last couple with absolute authority. She’s capable of weathering the up in grade and accounting for the selection.

SHIMMERING SANDS failed to fire when attempting a prominent run at Doncaster off the back of a 6 length Beverley success. That said, both 1st and 2nd from that day have boosted the form. A more disciplined effort here could see him right back on top. CRAFT IN SILK showed his absolute best to date when a length 2nd at Yarmouth latest. A similar effort could bear fruit right away.

SEE THE SEA gets a vote to double down for the absolutely red-hot Donald McCain team. Last seen a 5 length winner at Carlisle, she should remain competitive as she goes up in trip again. THANKS MONICA is dangerous off the back of a huge 7 length win at Salisbury when dropped to 10f. She is interesting going back up in trip here.
