TELIO has been improving measurably of late and was last seen ¾ of a length 2nd over 7f here. An extra furlong and his plotted course could see him go one better. VALERIAS DREAM was a place behind the selection here. She should benefit from a longer trip and a good draw of 4.

ROHA has been doing strong work on the Highveld and looks poised for a big effort on yard bow for Michael Miller. The drop in trip should be of no real concern following a few months rest. IMBEWU is back from 115 days off and is now under the Michael Roberts banner. She should relish the return to turf as well as this trip.

JOHNNY’S HOPE is better than the 5th we saw over the AW here last month. His prior form is promising and he can land a blow now returned to turf. MAJESTIC WARRIOR has been sharpening up of late and should benefit from blinkers and a bit more yardage.

ELECTRIC SURGE hasn’t been at her best of late but there was something to like about her 4th over C&D when fitted with blinkers. She has held her own against stronger fields and this looks winnable on paper. CHELSEA FLOWER hasn’t been too far beaten here of late and could find her way into the equation from barrier 4.

EXCEEDER has been doing good work on the AW here of late. He shouldn’t be too troubled by the return to turf and has been working well with Keagen De Melo. PAPA C got home with 2 in hand over a similar trip at Scottsville latest and warrants respect after a couple of months off.

QUEUE WING put in some good late work when 4th over the mile here latest. He has been doing excellent work on the AW and looks set to bring winning form back to turf. MANHATTEN CAFE has won his last couple in good style and looks set for an honest effort on hat trick bid as he heads back up to 9f.

EDDIE THE MOVER has a nice C&D hat trick firm in the crosshairs today. Conditions are ripe for him to seize it, with barrier one and S’manga Khumalo working in his favour. AL’S MY DADDY has landed on the podium, the last twice over the AW here. If he brings his momentum back to turf he could challenge.

SHIPHOLIA obliged market support when scoring readily on debut over 6f on the AW here. She’s into deeper waters here but could be up to task out of gate 2 if she takes to turf. AISLING returned to winning ways on the Polytrack last month. She has done most of her winning over turf so she can make a competitive return.
