LADIES DAY has found the frame in all but one of her seven starts here and could take the final step here as she continues to mature. NAMAQUA DOVE has posted a couple of strong C&D efforts but has finished in tow to the selection in the past so will have a bit to do.

Race 2 – Greyville Racecourse
SIEGE OF ORLEANS opened the account over slightly shorter at Scottsville 3 days ago and if she takes her place here the rapid turnabout could see her double down while the iron is hot. SPARKLING FLAME has rattled the crossbar the last thrice and could well fill the same role again for Michael Miller.

Race 3 – Greyville Racecourse
MCCARTNEY was tracking well over 5f at Scottsville till weakening very late. Returned to 6f but from a better draw and trying the Poly we could see him get it right this time. FIRU STAR was a promising runner up on debut over 7f. Dropped in trip after a few months rest he could go one better for Garth Puller.

Race 4 – Greyville Racecourse
HAMPTON COURT is a speedy type who is a 3 time C&D winner, including on penultimate run. He has had a couple of unlucky 2nd finishes but is still a useful operator in these surrounds. IMITATION GAME is interesting coming over from the Highveld for some plunder and a crack at the Poly for the first time. He is trip suited so this could be very good for him.

Race 5 – Greyville Racecourse
FLOWER SEASON is in good heart of late, not far back in both appearances since scoring narrowly over C&D. The poly seems to agree with her and she can continue to improve from a nice draw. BRUNILDA has been in top form and wasn’t disgraced in 2nd on hat trick bid over C&D. Down in grade she could gain due compensation.

Race 6 – Greyville Racecourse
HOT MONEY has a respectable record over track and trip and was last seen denied by ½ a length when 3rd over the mile here. She’s well-drawn and could hold off the raiders. CRAZY BLUES had a few of these in tow when victorious over 6f with an authoritative 3+ in hand.

Race 7 – Greyville Racecourse
JACQUELINE likes a speedy pace and could get that here as she lines up for a nice hat trick. The drop back in trip is no problem as she is 1 from 1 over C&D. She remains unexposed over Poly but has done very well in just 4 outings on it. TWICETHEQUALITY has found the frame in all 6 outings since joining Duncan Howells. She has a great draw and could transfer her form well to the Poly, but she will have to work hard to foil the selection.

Race 8 – Greyville Racecourse
HUMBLE TUNE is trip versatile and has been doing good work on the Highveld for Candice Dawson. He is well-drawn and could go well tackling the Poly for the first time. BUGSY MALONE missed a hat trick when hampered on the turf over the mile here. A return to the AW where he is 2 from 2 can pay off if he doesn’t mind the 9f.
