Below are your Next Set of Tips
We are back for another fun-filled week of racing. Today we’re handicapping races from Delaware Park where we expect partly cloudy skies, mild conditions, a fast main track and a firm turf course. Let’s get some winners!
Delaware Park:
Race 1: King’s House – 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 7/2)
Starter allowance runners get us going here and there’s not a lot of speed signed on here and that’s the angle we’re taking with King’s House. This ten year old still has high gear and multiple wins at the track and distance. Trainer Patrick Ashton wins at 25%. If they leave him alone on the lead, everyone else will be running for second place.
Race 2: Luann – 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 3/2)
Sprinters go 5 furlongs in this starter allowance where a few speed runners should set the table for Luann from off the pace. Luann exits a key race where both the first and third place runners came back to win (she ran second). She owns the field’s best overall speed figure and the fact that that number was put up in her most recent start makes her a major player here. Trainer Kelly Breen has won with a whopping 42% of his allowance runners at this track (5 for 12).
Race 3: Promise of Joy – 1 pt win (Us Morning Line Odds: 8/1)
Claiming sprinters square off here and while there are a few here who do their best running near the early lead, one is taking blinkers off (Dazzling Speed) which usually dulls a runner’s speed and the other (Palio Siena) doesn’t have much staying power. Promise of Joy appears to have the best early speed along with the advantageous inside position. She’s run her career best races with Angel Suarez as her rider and he gets back on her today. Trainer has the highest win percentage rate of anyone in the field and this one looks like value at 8/1 odds.
Best of luck to everyone playing Wednesday’s races from Delaware Park!
