We began our Keeneland opening day with Cabertoss in Race 3 getting the perfect pocket trip just off the dueling entry-mates. Jockey Corey Lanerie bided his time and swung out in the stretch to draw off convincingly at odds of 6.30/1 ensuring us yet another profitable ???day right off the bat. In the Phoenix Stakes we took a stand against the favorite knowing that he hoping he would be using this as a prep for the Breeder’s Cup and he did, but he also won. Quick Tempo set a rapid early pace and faded in the drive. In the Geade 1 Alcibiades Stakes it was Juju’s Map giving us our 2nd winner of the day from three selections ! ??
For Saturday we’ve got more grades stakes action from Belmont Park and Keeneland as runners get their final Breeder’s Cup preps in. We expect fast and firm conditions at both tracks beneath cloudy skies at Belmont and sunny skies at Keeneland.
