LITTLE LADY was beaten by under 2 lengths when 5th on local/AW debut this month. A return to the mile looks ideal and she’s fancied to make the most of pole positon. GELSOMINA has shown fair improvement over turf but really fired up when 2nd over C&D earlier in the month. A draw of 3 is a solid starting point and she can land a few blows.

ICE SUNSATION notched a solid success over this trip on the turf here one New Year’s Day. She cam within a neck when 2nd prior over this surface and could make it 2 on the bounce with improvement likely. FABULOUS returns from a 3 month spell with a hat trick in the crosshairs. This is her 2nd outing over this surface but she was denied by just a neck over 6f here last July. She is quite capable of getting this done from the best of the draws.

Race 4 – Greyville Racecourse
SING FOR WINTER has won twice in 5 starts, each coming over this surface and trip range. She looks the sort to have more to come on her ideal surface. The wide draw isn’t ideal but may not be enough to hold her back. BOOGIE SHOES reopened the account in style over C&D last month. We could see more from her now she’s gathered some momentum.

STRAIGHT UP gets the vote as a last start winner over 9f here 5 days ago. He had found the frame 3 times straight prior and can strike again while the iron is hot, with the return to 10f unlikely to trouble him. BOUNDLESS BASH was denied by a short head over the mile here when returned to the surface after some fair turf efforts. He is bred for this sort of trip and can make a convincing compensation bid.

Race 6 – Greyville Racecourse
QUANABI is a progressive sort who was beaten by just a neck against a reopposing rival over C&D at the end of 2022. She would not be winning out of turn with that under her belt. BRIGHT STAR is the danger, was a ready winner when dropped back to 6f on the turf last month. She can build on that plenty now upped in trip and returned to the Poly where she has found 2nd in both tries.

JOSHUA HOTSNAKE has been denied into 3rd by just ¾ of a length the last twice here following a solid 6f success in November. A strong draw of 2 can see him strike for his in-form yard. GIMME A RAINBOW was denied a double by a length when 4th over C&D late last month. He has solid compensation claims but has a difficult draw to work with.

MORGAN LA FAY is a useful sort but can be a bit hit and miss. A return to the Poly from gate one can see her fire up nicely for the red-hot Wendy Whitehead string. ACACIA’S BLOSSOM couldn’t land a blow over the mile here latest but a drop in trip and return to the AW can see her rather dangerous.
