SAKA GOLD still has a bit of greenness about him but looks in a good spot to do something about it. Returning to the surface he ran his best when a length and ¾ 5th and out of the best of the draws, he can make big improvement. DON’T LINNIGAR has found 3rd the last twice here, on both tracks. He should be in the mix from gate three.

Race 2 – Greyville Racecourse
ROYAL OASIS has come agonisingly close over this trip in the past and now out of pole positon and receiving weight from rivals she can make her mark. WHISPERING GREEN is sharpening up for the application of blinkers and can fight her way to the finish for Garth Puller.

Race 3 – Greyville Racecourse
PIRATE PRINCE has shown ample ability but has shown a bit of a penchant for giving away early space. If he can break from that habit he can make the most of his barrier one draw. AFROPOLITAN showed marked improvement when 4th on first run on this surface over slightly shorter here late last month. There could be more to come today.

Race 4 – Greyville Racecourse
OUR EMILY hasn’t been far beaten of late and gets a fair nod from the best of the barriers. Blinkers are tried again and she might be able to muster a winning effort here. PRINCESS SANTO has found the frame the last twice since being shed of blinkers. She’s likely to be in the mix out of barrier two.

Race 5 – Greyville Racecourse
VALIENTE got back on the scoreboard by a neck over C&D 8 days ago. He’s under penalty for the effort but if the pace is to his liking he should be able to back it up. HOOVES OF TROY has accounted for the selection in the past but it came at a lull in form for the selection. He is nonetheless a danger here, having found the frame the last thrice on this surface.

Race 6 – Greyville Racecourse
SHAPE OF YOU is 2 from 2 over C&D, including a month ago. Today she has drawn gate one and while having more to do at the weights has a very real chance at a nice double. CHANTY LANE was a pleasing enough 3rd on the turf track here latest and shouldn’t be troubled at all by the return to the Polytrack where she won over 3 starts back.

Race 7 – Greyville Racecourse
FORGED IN ICE improved measurably with each run in blinkers before getting home over 7f here with a nice 3+ length lead. There should be much more to come and the return to the mile and best of the draws should be conducive of improvement. HATTA is much better than what we saw in 8th over 7f here back in August. A rest and return to the mile can see her return to her earlier standard.

Race 8 – Greyville Racecourse
JETAVANA won his maiden at 33/1 odds over 7f on this surface in July and was far from disgraced when 2+ lengths beaten into 6th on the turf since. A return here from the best of the draws is a great opening for an immediate recovery. MANHATTEN CAFE is getting better as he goes and was a narrow but impressive winner on the turf here latest. He has shown similar aptitude for the Polytrack and could prove mighty dangerous on double bid.
