THEWOLFOFWOLSELEY made notable improvement when 4th at Turffontein latest. More experience and another furlong of run might be enough to see him get the account open. WITHOUT EQUAL has found himself in the money in all 5 runs to date, including over this trip at Turffontein on penultimate outing.

FLOW FOREVER is forgiven a misfire in 6th over 7f at Turffontein on 2nd outing for Grant Maroun. He’s shown enough prior to be able to bounce back here. PARKER GETRIX finally shed the maiden tag on attempt 17, over 7f here 4 days ago. Now the penny has dropped there’s every chance he can sharpen enough to put forth a strong double effort.

Race 4 – Vaal Racecourse
MERCURIAL JET showed her best yet when 2nd on return from a couple of months off. Fitter for the effort and upped to the mile she’s coming to the boil nicely. SILK GARDEN showed tremendous improvement when ½ a length 3rd over 6f here on 2nd start. With that to work from she can crack into the frame again.

NARTJIE isn’t the most consistent type around but has shown many times to have untapped potential. He’s seeming to benefit from blinkers and could get it right this time. SPIN DOCTOR is a clear contender, lining up for a nice hat trick on just his 4th start.

GALLIC CHIEF had some issues with bleeding when last seen beating just one home. A furlough should have done him well and if he’s back to full strength he can pick up on his very pleasing prior form. MUFASA is a talented type who was far from disgraced n 4th over 5f at Turffontein latest. He’s yet to run a bad race and should be in the mix for Paul Peter.

ON CUE has won her last couple over C&D with gusto and has a superb shot at a track and trip hat trick. She’s really come into her own since being fitted with blinkers and is hard to look past here, having accounted for several of these rivals on the way here. BEQUEST has been knocking at the door of late and warrants the utmost respect over this C&D.

FEATHER THE NEST has been doing fair work in defeat of late and returns to the C&D she has won twice over. Expect a big effort from this St John filly. BIG CITY GIRL is another who is C&D suited, but hasn’t been seen doing much of late. She fared better than the raw result in 6rh at Scottsville latest and could bounce back in these surrounds.
