MORNING SPIRIT caught the eye when 2nd over C&D latest to a winner who has handsomely franked the form since. A 2lb higher perch makes him a serious winning chance. DR KANANGA has won his last couple by huge 12 length margins each time. He’s up another 10lb and has a very real shot at the hat trick.

TRELAWNE won with an impressive 18 in hand at 16/1 on debut here. Now upped in trip for Kim Bailey he looks capable of remaining unbeaten before heading to bigger and better. FLEMENSTIDE won well enough on comeback at Ascot in November and backed it up well when 2nd at Wincanton in January. He’s had a couple months off and should be able to be a player.
Top Tip – TRELAWNE (4)
One to consider – FLEMENSTIDE (3)
Race 3 – Exeter Racecourse
MISTER MARBLES unlocked plenty from a recent wind operation when 2nd at Ludlow over slightly shorter. Off the same mark he could go one better for the experience. OPERATION MANNA won narrowly on debut in a Worcester bumper and made a pleasing shift to hurdles when 2nd at Sandown in the heavy ground. Tom Lacey’s gelding should have plenty more to come in these ranks.

LIMETREE BOY made a positive impression in 3rd at Aintree on debut before falling at Warwick in December. He bounced back well when dropped in trip there, winning with ¾ of a length in hand. He’s fancied to have more to come now headed into the handicaps off a mark of 118. MY SILVER LINING was a powerful winner at Lingfield latest, with the form taking a nice boost when the runner-up scored since. He is well-treated off 110 and can offer plenty of resistance.

FULGURIX showed his best yet when 2nd by ½ a length at Leicester over 2m back in February. A 2lb higher mark as he tackles a longer trip could see him go one better for Richard Newland. LONGSHANKS has shown ample promise in all 4 outings over fences and warrants consideration off 1lb lower than his latest Ffos Las 2nd.
Top Tip – FULGURIX (3)
One to consider – LONGSHANKS (1)
Race 7 – Exeter Racecourse
GIVE US A SWIG is the pick on form after a fair 2nd at Ffos Las over slightly shorter. He’s gone up 3lb but has a 7lb claimer in the saddle. Conditions look ripe for him to go one better here, especially since the winner that day has done so again since. BELLAMY’S GREY misfired latest when pulled up at Lingfield but is respected off the back off an 11 length hurdle win here prior to that mishap.
Top Tip – GIVE US A SWIG (3)
One to consider – BELLAMY’S GREY (4)
