ASMUND has been threatening to burst through to the winners’ circle for a while now and now well-handicapped in a fairly warm field he can get the job done in style. LATE ARRIVAL wasn’t disgraced in 6th at Thirsk, landing within a length and a half of the winner. Off the same mark with William Pyle taking 7lb off, we can see a good posting.

SUCELLUS got home last time at Haydock and the 2lb rise seems lenient for the effort we saw. DELGREY BOY shared victory in a dead-heat at Newcastle over this run and off a 3lb higher perch could have the spoils all to himself this time.

CAPTAIN VALLO could not manage to find clear passage when 3rd here last time and should be able to recover some prestige here despite going up in class. His July win at Hamilton was just that strong. WADE’S MAGIC is respected off a Ripon win and could make a dent.

CROFTERS GREEN found his way into the notebook when 4th at 25/1 on debut over this trip at Wolverhampton. Now running with experience, if he brings it over to turf he’ll be a useful sort indeed. MISS BEHAVING has posted credible efforts without winning at Newcastle and Doncaster and she won’t be far off opening the account.

DESERT QUEST has won his last couple in good spirits and has been upped 7lb since his first leg. He has it in him to land the hat trick over a suitable trip. MAJOR SNUGFIT got home at Catterick by a short head over 12f and a couple more furlongs might see him double down if he can foil the selection.

OVERTHINK wasn’t far back when the pace didn’t suit him over the extended 2m at Wolverhampton and the drop in trip to his winning 14f along with the return to turf could see this Mark Johnston charge turn things around. HIDDEN PEARL is a maiden after two dozen efforts but her Yarmouth 2nd by a nose on penultimate run suggests she’s about ready to pop.
