FUENTE OVEJUNA didn’t deliver when sent off at Listed level but now Ralph Beckett’s filly can press her claims in much calmer waters. SIGNORINA MERISI is the primary threat off the back of a much improved 2nd by a neck at Thirsk.

HIGHWAYGREY is a 4 time local winner who is in top form after a gutsy Ayr 5th off this mark. His last win came off this rating and he can press his claims in a small field. TIGER BEETLE returns from a few months off and is respected having last been beaten by a rival who has gone on to win a super hat trick.

COTTAM LANE won over C&D on penultimate run before posting a ¾ length 5th in a blanket at York. Kevin Ryan’s charge can get back on top now with the form of the York effort taking some hearty boosts. OSO RAPIDO is down in trip and could make a splash, check the betting.

INDIAN SOUNDS and stable-mate SALUTI look hard to separate for Paul Midgley. INDIAN SOUNDS shades the verdict after being narrowly beaten over C&D by a rival who has boosted the form since. SALUTI is 1 from 2 over C&D and off a 5lb higher mark than his recent Newcastle win could land a few blows.

WAKEY WAKEY showed improvement when a promising runner up at Thirsk. He should take the longer trip on pedigree and should take the beating. MARQUIS OF YORK has shown enough in a brief career but has a lousy barrier to work from.
