Race 2 – Huntingdon Racecourse
HIGH NOON looks very interesting on bottom weight as he slides down the ratings. He is a trip winner who could strike now off a 102 after some decent efforts in defeat including a half-length 2nd off this mark at Market Rasen back in July. DEMON D’AUNOU failed to justify market support when 5th at Uttoxeter but now off the same mark making comeback from 72 days off might be able to make amends.

ISLAND NATION is the pick on both form and experience, having a win and a couple of 3rds at Perth this season. Off a mark 1lb higher than his latest placing he can put his experience to good work in a small field. BRICKLAGGER won a bumper at Kempton back in February and is interesting now going hurdling after 190 days off.

Race 4 – Huntingdon Racecourse
RAILWAY MUICE gets a big vote on hat trick bid despite a huge 12lb rise for the last leg of his effort. This will require his best yet but he looks poised to give it. ACHY BREAKY HEART is the danger for the in-form Harris yard. She has been doing good work this season across both types of obstacles but toppling the selection will require everything going her way.

Race 5 – Huntingdon Racecourse
MIDNIGHT JEWEL is hard to oppose off the back of an all the way Fontwell victory. His yard is in top shape and he can double down off a 7lb rise. MI LADDO fared better than the raw result of 5th at Cartmel over 17f on penultimate run and is 3lb lower today. He looks like he could be underestimated here and could be a good each-way bet if you don’t like the selection.

Race 6 – Huntingdon Racecourse
NO WORRIES was hampered at Fontwell when settling for 2nd on comeback run. Off the same mark he can go one better over his ideal trip for the in-form Mulholland string. AKKAPENKO gets respect as the sole C&D winner in the line-up and his latest 2nd by a head at Bangor-on-Dee suggest he’s on his way to retrace the winning thread.

BLUE SANS is a progressive mare who brought it home on handicap bow over 20f at Worcester latest. The 3lb rise is standard and she can outrun it now upped further in trip once more. CHAMPAGNE NOIR was denied by half a length into 2nd on comeback run post-wind surgery. He should be in the mix despite being handed a 4lb rise.

MAMOON STAR gets the vote in a field of mostly newcomers. Fergal O’Brien always demands respect and he should have this one well-readied for the task at hand. ALAZWAR is interesting on debut of his own but there’s something disheartening about his asking price going from 300,000 Guineas as a yearling to 23,000 at 3 years old.
