ROCK MELODY was toppled into 2nd at very short odds at Windsor latest but the form has been beautifully franked with the 1st, 3rd, and 4th all going on to win. She can put that to work here and the up in trip looks positive. PIFFLE should offer plenty of resistance after a superb short head at Windsor after a green debut.

Race 3 – Goodwood Racecourse
SEA KING improved markedly on his debut when 3rd at Sandown latest. The 3rd from that day has gone on to win since so he looks in a nice spot to land his own maiden win. ELECTRESS finished strongly on debut despite landing 7th and she should have the greenness ironed out for Ralph Beckett.

Race 4 – Goodwood Racecourse
ADAAY IN ASIA concedes weight to rivals but looks hard to beat after landing 3 of her last 4, all over this trip. Tom Marquand is 2 from 3 when paired with her and they look very well-primed here. OUTSIDE WORLD could have a say after floundering in G2 company, she could press for a confidence boost here if she can make that experience work for her.

THEMAXWECAN took this event out back in 2019 and looks well-treated today off a mark of 96. He wasn’t disgraced in 7th at York latest and cheekpieces are worth sticking with. JUST HUBERT has had a superb season and with a hat trick firm in his sights is going to throw his all at the coveted prize.

ADDITIONAL unlocked solid progression when 2nd after being upped to this trip at Lingfield latest. He found one too good and could go one better off the same mark with Oisin Murphy back aboard. TOUSSAROK has been useful this season and should keep the selection honest having won 2 of his last 3 including over this trip on the AW latest.

Race 7 – Goodwood Racecourse
KING VEGA is a lightly raced Andrew Balding charge who couldn’t land a blow in the Vertem Futurity Trophy Stakes at Doncaster in October. A nice 2nd since at Newcastle suggests he still has potential and his comeback 5th wasn’t bad. He comes down in grade now and should find a deserved maiden win. ALMAAN is interesting on return after a debut 4th back in August 2020 and retains plenty of scope for development.
