BATTLE OF THE NILE looks very hard to best for the power combo of James Ferguson and Oisin Murphy. He is up 5lb for a convincing handicap debut win at Wolverhampton and if he brings it over to turf will be a tough nut to crack. AYLING held on well in 2nd over 5f at Ripon and should relish this longer run.

Race 3 – Carlisle Racecourse
TRIBAL ART toppled a 91 rated rival by a head over this trip at Kempton and on return to turf can double up over an ideal trip. The 3lb rise is fair for the Mark Johnson colt and he can land this on the way to bigger and better. CHARGING THUNDER floundered in the Melrose at York but this drop in both class and trip can see him recover his confidence.

PROPAGATION was a neck 2nd to a smart rival on his last run for Charles Hills and now makes yard bow for Dianna Sayer. The winner has franked the form handsomely and this looks a good spot to go one better off a 1lb higher mark. IRELAND’S EYE showed a glimpse of potential when 2 lengths back in 6th at Ripon in a first-time visor and now tries the tongue-tie as he goes up to the mile for the first time.

STRANGERONTHESHORE failed to fire latest at Thirsk but she has posted strong enough efforts in the past to suggest she deserves a chance to make amends. DETECTIVE is ever-reliable and has found 1st or 2nd in all of his last 7 bouts. He will no doubt be on the premises here and demands respect.

RED GENESIS has shown plenty to like in his last couple of runs and was unfortunate to be denied a clear run when beaten into 3rd at Salisbury latest. Oisin Murphy tries the ride today and we could have a maiden win out of him. HELLO ZABEEL has struck the crossbar 3 times in 4 runs and should be right there again.
