MOTION IN LIMINE gets the nod for Richard Newland who has a strong strike rate at this course. He wasn’t far back when 3rd on UK bow for new connections and has some solid Irish form to work off. GRAND LORD found a useful sort too good when 2nd on comeback run and should be in the mix off an unchanged mark.

Race 2 – Wetherby Racecourse
NOT WHAT IT SEEMS has found the frame the last twice in these ranks and looks set to go one better than his latest 2nd here now upped in trip off the same 108 mark. GETTHEPOT is interesting making yard bow for Fergal O’Brien after some strong efforts early in the year and could offer plenty of resistance.

AHOY SENOR was last seen winning with plenty in hand in the Grade 1 Sefton at Aintree and makes tremendous appeal now going chasing. She should far too much on these rivals. BARBADOS BUCK’S can chase him home after a strong season including a hat trick over the extended 24f. He has always shaped like a potential useful chaser and can find a minor prize.

Race 4 – Wetherby Racecourse
SON OF RED kicked off his hurdle career with a score at Newcastle back in November. He wasn’t able to build on that in 2 outings since but has since has a nice flat spin at Lingfield and could be in a spot to make some further improvement. RESTANDBETHANKFUL did a decent job when 6th on comeback run at Chepstow following wind surgery and should have a bit more to come now fighting fit.

Race 5 – Wetherby Racecourse
TOO FRIENDLY should be in top shape after winning readily on hurdle debut against the reopposing OCEANLINE. This is a much tougher task but he retains the scope to do so and is unexposed. OCEANLINE was 2nd to the selection that day and should be in the mix once more with Tom Cannon back in the saddle.

ECLAIR D’AINAY had a superb initial season over fences, finishing a full 21lb higher when 2nd at Uttoxeter in April. He is back from 211 days off and looks likely to hit the ground running for the Skelton boys. GALAHAD QUEST was progressive over fences last season and can also make a splash on comeback after capping off last season with a good Haydock win over slightly shorter.

CASA TALL sharpened significantly when scoring with 2 in hand when sporting first-time tongue-tie at Newton Abbot back in August. He races well fresh and should have more to come in these ranks. LARCH HILL is 2 from 2 since joining Charles & Pogson with his latest being an all the way score. He is down in trip but no less dangerous.

Race 8 – Wetherby Racecourse
KNICKERBOCKERGLORY was an impressive debutant in the bumpers at Ludlow over this trip in November when 2nd at 16/1. He delivered on the promise when returning there over 2f shorter to score with 4+ in hand. Now racing for Dan Skelton he can make a big splash on hurdle debut. GUARDINO sharpened up and got the job done over this trip in a Kempton bumper. He can continue to improve now going over timber.
