RUNWITHTHETIDE showed plenty to like despite seemingly needing a longer run when 2nd at Chepstow on hurdle bow. She gets that extra run and should sharpen nicely for the previous experience. AURELIA OR has strong form from last season over timber but track conditions might not be ideal for her to replicate it on comeback run.

MAKKA PAKKA was a most pleasing ¾ length 2nd over C&D latest and off a 2lb higher mark can go one better as he shapes to be a promising chaser. ROMANOR has been threatening of late and has a win and a place from 2 runs over C&D so should give another strong account.

GAIA VALLIS reverts to timber after a fall over fences at Plumpton latest. Her last couple of efforts in this sphere were encouraging and she can go well off a mark of 82. HUMANISTE is worth considering on UK/yard bow for Max Young after some solid efforts in Ireland for the O’Grady yard.

Race 4 – Stratford Racecourse
CADZAND showed ample potential in a couple of placed bumper finishes before proving himself a superb hurdlers, winning 3 of his 5 outings. Connections seem pleased enough with him to send him steeplechasing in handicap ranks on first attempt. KAP AUTEUIL is a possible alternative if the selection isn’t suited. He has won his last 3 in this sphere and shoots for a quarter after 218 days off.

CALL OF THE WILD won his only bumper outing by a dominant 8+ lengths back in May at Huntingdon. He looks a strong contender to make a winning hurdle bow for Alan King and Tom Cannon. LUSTLEIGH was last seen 3rd at Warwick in November 2020 and should be strengthened and well-readied after 356 days off.

Race 6 – Stratford Racecourse
SUBLIME HEIGHTS was a very lacking handicap debutant at Warwick latest but his prior placed finishes were very promising. He has slid 4lb down the ratings while going up in trip and can get it right on return from 212 days off. FORT DENISON was a nice 3rd slightly shorter earlier in the month and should be amongst it off a 1lb lower mark.

COSTLY DIAMOND has been having a strong run over fences, lancing 3rd then 2nd then winning at Sedgefield. Now reverting to hurdles he could bring his top form back across and get an open account in these ranks off a mark of 100. DORISA QUEEN is a possible threat on yard bow for Dan Skelton. She remains lightly raced and has some serious scope for improvement after finishing 3rd at 125/1 at Worcester back in May on her final run for the Greatrex yard.

NORLEY had to settle for 2nd to a progressive rival at Exeter latest and off the same 99 mark can go one better with his rider’s 5lb claim a useful bonus. SEABOROUGH has been holding on in stronger fields and can make a dent down in grade.
