BROTHER PAT is in top shape, having won 4 of his 6 chase outings, finding the frame in the other 2. He is something of a revelation over fences and could grab the hat trick despite the hefty 10lb hike. EBONY GALE won with style and 15 in hand at Tuanton and is respected under penalty but does have a lot to find on the selection.

THE TURTLE SAID is the pick with experience after turning it up nicely to find 2nd by just a nose at Huntingdon on debut in these ranks back in November 2020. He has shifted hands since and should be fired up by the Mulholland team. HUNGRY HILL gets a mention on debut for Jonjo O’Neill sporting some useful pedigree.

Race 4 – Southwell Racecourse
SURE TOUCH won well in the bumper ranks on debut before being sent off to a G2 at Aintree where he couldn’t land a blow. It makes good experience and now turning to hurdling for Olly Murphy he could go well from the beginning. GREATEST STAR showed some potential in 4th on hurdle bow at Hereford and could prove to offer the most resistance.

CRY WOLF has been posting solid efforts without actually winning of late and could build on his latest Hereford 3rd, with conditions tipped to suit his cause. LELANTOS is up 2lb for a much-improved 2nd by a neck at Fontwell on comeback run and could have a big shout today.

WHAT A GLANCE was an emphatic winner on yard bow for David Dennis at Worcester latest and now upped 8lb, he can double down in ideal conditions. TEN PAST MIDNIGHT has a hat trick on the line and isn’t out of it but trip suitability is taken on trust so he is vulnerable.

SABBATHICAL won with a huge 21 in hand at Fakenham latest and gets to line up off the same mark with his rider taking a further 3lb off. On these terms he looks very hard to oppose. MAJOR SNUGFIT is a versatile sort, effective over hurdles and on the flat. He won well at Sedgefield latest and does have fair claims to some minor money.
