DESARAY GIRL needed the run when 5th on comeback at Wetherby latest. Now fighting fit she can take another step forward over a winning C&D. TOPKAPI STAR restruck form when 2nd at Ayr after a couple of flat spins since joining Ewan Whillans. She has plenty of scope in these ranks and could come on.

LORD CAPRIO scored readily with 3+ in hand over C&D last time. He has proven a progressive type of late and the 6lb hike is very manageable. MI LADDO was touched off by ½ a length when hunting for a double at Exeter and could gain compensation here.

Race 4 – Sedgefield Racecourse
NO CRUISE YET was a disappointing faller 2 out last time when fancied to go well on yard bow/comeback run after wind surgery. Another attempt is made and Sam England’s charge can take another step forward. DIAMOND BRIG can pick up the pieces if the selection isn’t able to capitalise. Last seen 2nd to a winner who has gone on to score since he could prove too hot to handle.

MISTER WHITAKER has been reinvigorate since joining Donald McCain and being reverted to timber. Winning well at Kelso latest, this former G2 Cheltenham Festival winner clearly still has plenty of tricks up his sleeve. NO WORD OF A LIE was a bit lacking in 5th at Aintree latest but the standard of his prior Fontwell 2nd in strong. Any similar sort of showing could prove tough to beat.

Race 6 – Sedgefield Racecourse
CILLUIRID took another leap forward when landing a double here and has been risen a further 11lb for the effort. He has a very exciting local hat trick on the line and could still remain competitive going back up in trip, despite the wrath of the assessor. SOUNDS RUSSIAN showed aptitude for chasing when 4th on first attempt over fences here a month back. He should sharpen up for the experience.

STROLL ON BY was backed into oblivion on debut but had to settle for 2nd by a nose to a rival with experience. Now he has that under his belt he can go one better and compensate backers. SUMMERGROUNDS showed plenty to like in 2nd on debut at Kelso and could also fire up.
