DANCE AT NIGHT gets a nod on debut for Andrew Balding who handles his newcomers well, especially this Dark Angel gelding’s bloodline. MY MIRAGE is another exciting debutant, being out of a Wokingham winner and paired with Oisin Murphy for Ed Walker.

FIRST OFFICER was a very encouraging 3rd on debut at Newmarket over 7f last month. Now upped to the mile and tackling the AW, Roger Varian’s charge looks in a strong position to build on that effort. AL NAFIR also showed aptitude on debut when 2nd at Newmarket over this trip and could go one better for the effort.

Race 4 – Kempton Racecourse
IMPERIAL CROWN looks primed for a splash on debut for the in-form Charlie Appleby with James Doyle in the plate. This Frankel Colt is out of a G1 winning Dam and should prove a strong competitor. TIDAL STORM missed the jump and weakened late when 4th at Newbury after being sent off joint favourite. The heavy conditions did him no favours that day and he could make amends now tackling the Polytrack.

ALPHONSE LE GRANDE had a lot on his plate when a half-length 2nd on comeback run over C&D a month ago. Off a 2lb higher mark he can go one better with Hollie Doyle and eye catching booking. ALBUS ANNE was a much-improved runner up at Leicester over 7f late last month. Off a 4lb higher mark she could find her way into calculations once more.

Race 6 – Kempton Racecourse
BANDINELLI relished the up to 14f when securing a double at Haydock before having his hat trick bid beaten down into 2nd over 12f here. Now he tackles the 2m and could make an immediate recovery and make all with William Buick steering. NATE THE GREAT has some appeal as he continues to slide down the ratings. He has reached an exploitable mark of 91 and could regain some prestige now back on the surface he does his best work over.

BAKR was a pleasing enough 3rd of 5 on comeback run after 261 days off. She should come forward for that effort now the cobwebs are gone and she is returning to the C&D she won her maiden over back in January. FOLLOW YOUR HEART showed a step in the right direction when 2 lengths 4th at Wolverhampton latest and the up to 7f looks ideal now making yard bow for new connections.

HOWZAK has won his last 3 by ever-decreasing margins as he creeps up the ratings for his efforts. He still looks like he hasn’t reached his threshold and can make for a superb four streak. OKAIDI could prove the danger if taking to the Polytrack after a very unfortunate ¾ length beating into 2nd at Bath.
