MISS COOL also set a positive foot forward on debut over this trip at Turffontein, landing a workable 5th. She should also fire up now running with experience.

MAGNUM P I has found 2nd best in 5 of 6 outings thanks to a post-race demotion at Turffontein latest. He is long overdue a win and this might be his best opening to rectify that to date. WAVE WARRIOR has posted a spattering of decent efforts over this trip range and was last seen sporting firs-time blinkers when a somewhat improved 4th latest. They are back on today and we could see another step forward from Paul Machett’s charge.

MY TRUE NORTH got away slowly but fired up well to find 2nd by just ¾ of a length over the extended mile here. Now upped to 10f he could go one better with more operating room. GIMME A DREAM has given brief glimpses of promise in 3 outings to date and could unlock another gear now significantly upped in trip.

TUULETAR is undoubtedly talented and is best judged from efforts prior to landing 12th over this trip at Turffontein. The soft wasn’t to her liking and now back over good ground she can pick up her progression. KISSED BY FIRE is a 17 time maiden but has posted a few respectable efforts in defeat. She could get it right on return to this longer trip.

WOLFFS WORLD has been posting solid efforts since winning over the mile here in February. He runs well fresh and could bolt up without needing the run to get him into shape. JUAN CARLOS has landed 2nd best in both local outings since joining Ashley Fortune. Today will be a struggle from a shocking draw but he’s still capable of a big effort.

PLATINUM SKY is a regally-bred sort whose chances here can be boosted depending how Juan Carlos does in the race before this. He is talented and should post an honest effort as he gets the hang of things. BOLD RESOLVE is trip suited and decently-drawn, this De Kock gelding is a wildcard and can’t be ignored here.

LIFE GOES ON does his best work on AW but has won 2 of his last 3 over this trip, including over turf at Turffontein in September. He is well-drawn and should give a fairly strong account in ideal conditions. MIDNIGHT BADGER failed to fire over C&D latest in fairly lousy weather. Prior efforts are much more promising and he’s definitely capable of notching a 2nd career win if he can overcome a shocking draw of 13.
