YATA was toppled a favourite when 4th over this trip at Greyville late last month but we can forgive it after her best effort came on turf. Now back on the grass she could make up for it nicely from a respectable draw. MAGICAL ODYSSEY has improved with each run and had the selection in tow when 2nd at Greyville last month. She can continue to sharpen up if taking to the turf.

GUNSMOKE showed some promise in 6th on debut over this trip on the AW at Greyville. Now shifting to turf with experience under his belt he could come on nicely. ALL THE TIME ran a belter to be denied into 2nd by a neck. He could gain compensation but both his crossbar finishes came with a bit of cut in the ground.

TRITON was a nice 4th from a shocking draw over 7f at Greyville. Now launching from pole positon and given a bit more yardage we could see him take the next step. DISPLACE TIME has shown glimpses of potential in a handful of runs and could prove dangerous if getting the rub of the green.

PURPLE FLAME won with authority over slightly shorter at Greyville on penultimate start. He was sine denied by HATA MANANA when upped to the mile. Now dropping to an intermediate trip and launching from a better draw he can reverse the form. HASTA MANANA won’t lie down but is much worse off at the weights and has his work cut out despite the solid draw.

PARK AND FLY has improved with each run, especially since being fitted with blinkers. Last seen 2nd to a useful type, she can continue her upward trajectory. AMBLE INN does her best work here and we can look past a Greyville misfire latest. Respect.

SOLID GOLD won narrowly over this run at Greyville latest and returns from a short, tactical rest. He retains scope for improvement and could take this out on the way to bigger and better. RIVERSTOWN is well-drawn to make a splash on local bow and has proven himself and effective sprinter. He could land a few blows on these terms.

SUPER AGRA landed a nice trip double at Turffontein earlier in the year and hasn’t been disgraced since. He has a lousy draw but does seem both due and capable of a win here. MOUNT GREYLOCK went down by ½ a length over 5f when last seen and could make amends now back over his maiden winning trip. He has pole position but a lot of rivals to account for.
