PIKETBERG ALLEY has improved markedly for the application of blinkers and now back from a 73 day spell could go well over his winning C&D. He probably needs to move to a longer trip soon but can take this one out. AUS BOB came back from a spell to open the account at Durbanville before returning with a respectable 3rd on handicap bow. He should have more in him as he reaches top shape.

FINAL MOVE won readily over this trip at Durbanville on debut and while not backing it up since has posted respectable effects including a 2nd by a length over C&D so could figure here. POWER GRID wasn’t disgraced in 6th when gunning for a hat trick at Durbanville. He can bounce right back.

STAR OF THE SOUTH has a tough task conceding weight but has been in great shape of late. Last seen 4th over this trip at Durban he was within 2 lengths of the front and is now reverting to the C&D he won over 3 starts back. SILVANO’S DASHER looks like a huge danger off the back of an emphatic debut win over 6f at Durbanville that has been handsomely franked by the runner up.

ANECDOTE has been thereabouts of late without winning and is certainly deserving of a post-maiden win. He has been doing good enough work to have claims in this sort of field. GIMMIE A STAR showed potential on debut at Scottsville back in July and came back late last month to win by a head at Durbanville. He is upped a furlong and can strike again now fighting fit.
