WARRIOR BLING came within ¾ of a length of victory when 3rd over this trip at Durbanville on 2nd run after a break. He returns to his winning C&D and gets to launch from pole positon. FYNBOS remains unexposed over this trip and could find improvement now taking on the boys.

BON BOYAGE has shown glimpses of potential in a handful of stats including a C&D 3rd on 2nd start. He is now a gelding and could make big improvement as a result. AENEAS has also since been gelded after a spattering of promising efforts and should be in the mix for Candice Bass-Robinson.

Race 4 – Kenilworth Racecourse
RED KITE has improved with each start of late as she has also gone up in trip. She’s an excitingly progressive filly who can deservedly open her account now tackling the mile from a decent draw. EVERGLADES has improved somewhat with each run over 6f and is interesting tackling the mile today for William Nel. Watch the betting for signs.

MARINA was a respectable 4th on comeback at G3 level after a few months off. The trip was insufficient but the effort was solid and she’s capable of bouncing back on return to the mile. PRETTY BETTY comes back from 122 days off having won her last 5 in a row including a couple of feature races. She’s entitled to keep shooting for the stars but might be in need of a run after the break.

Race 6 – Kenilworth Racecourse
MASTER REDOUTE fared better than the raw result on debut when beating just one home. He sharpened enough on 2nd start to win well over this trip at Durban. Since sent off handicapping where he misfired he’s worth another shot as that effort is almost too bad to be true. POLTERGEIST was denied by a head when striking the crossbar on debut at Durbanville over 6f. He gained meaningful compensation there last time and now going handicapping should have leaps and bounds of improvement in store.

MASTER OF POWER has been in a good pocket of form of late and now returning to the track and trip of his July win looks in a spot to add another win to the tally. BLACK BELT is a reliable operator who reopened the account nicely over C&D at the end of October. With momentum on his side he could double down.

EXCEED EXPECTATION took a step backward when sent back to the sprint with blinkers fitted. A respectable enough 4th he’s seemingly built for longer trips. The headgear coming off as he tackles to the mile can see him get back on track. TOUT A FAIT has struck the crossbar by a head the last twice. He might be able to get it right and go one better here.
