Race 1 – Kenilworth Racecourse
PARIS RIX has been reinvigorated of late, posting a couple of solid efforts in defeat off higher ratings. He maintains a solid scope for improvement and could continue to ascend. OVATION is well-drawn and has plenty of useful names in the bloodline. He hasn’t fully benefitted from being gelded yet but may come on further.
Top Tip – PARIS RIX (1)
One to consider – OVATION (2)

Race 2 – Kenilworth Racecourse
RUSSIAN ROCK was a promising 2nd by a head on comeback run in September over this run before weakening in a sprint over 6f here late last month. He is trip suited and should be fighting fit for a bid run from a decent draw. CAPTAIN TATTERS needed the run when 10th on comeback from a few months off following a trip win by a neck on the AW at Greyville. Now sporting cheekpieces he should fire up and can battle the selection.
Top Tip – RUSSIAN ROCK (1)
One to consider – CAPTAIN TATTERS (2)
Race 3 – Kenilworth Racecourse
QUE SHIRAZ has won 2 of his last 3 with his latest being a front-running short head score in a higher grade. This is still actually a bigger ask as conceding weight all round could prove challenging. DRAGONFLY fired up nicely when 3rd on handicap bow in a 6f affair here and could relish the return to his winning trip.
Top Tip – QUE SHIRAZ (1)
One to consider – DRAGONFLY (2)

DO IT AGAIN is a classy gelding who has multiple wins at the top level to draw from. He doesn’t often run a bad race and can afford to be a bit dusty and still take this out on talent. RASCALLION was very encouraging when a ½ length 2nd over the mile here on comeback run. Fighting fit and experienced at holding his own in the G1 ranks he can offer the selection plenty of resistance.
Top Tip – DO IT AGAIN (1)
One to consider – RASCALLION (2)
Race 5 – Kenilworth Racecourse
EXCEEDER has really come into his own for the application of blinkers, retained today. Last seen a close-up 4th in a tougher contest on handicap bow he can bring a similar effort and be rewarded. SERVICE ACE took a leap forward from his handicap bow when 4th over 8f here and now back up in trip could continue to mature.
Top Tip – EXCEEDER (1)
One to consider – SERVICE ACE (2)

Race 6 – Kenilworth Racecourse
DO ANGELS CRY is in a mighty fine pocket of form without actually winning but a return to her maiden winning C&D might do her well. She has a lot of weight to weather but can still land a blow. GREY PRINCESS has a respectable local record and hasn’t been disgraced in defeat of late, faring better than the results suggest.
Top Tip – DO ANGELS CRY (1)
One to consider – GREY PRINCESS (2)
Race 7 – Kenilworth Racecourse
MOON ROCK bounced back to contention when scoring over C&D narrowly on penultimate run. Not disgraced since in 3rd he’s shouldering plenty of weight but his prominent approach could see him through. DEBONAIR won a nice double before misfiring at Durbanville back in September. A bit of a break might help him sharpen up as he retains plenty of scope for improvement.
Top Tip – MOON ROCK (3)
One to consider – DEBONAIR (4)

Race 8 – Kenilworth Racecourse
CAPTAIN’S KNOT can be forgiven his last couple of outings on return to the course he has done his best work at along with a drop in class. Decently drawn and under top weight he has to be respected. ON THE ROAD AGAIN is another with scope and recent runs that can be ignored. A similar effort to his 6f defeat into 2nd by a neck should see him in the mix.
Top Tip – CAPTAIN’S KNOT (1)
One to consider – ON THE ROAD AGAIN (2)
