SHIELD MAIDEN has shown glimpses of talent and has shown some improvement for the application of blinkers and shift to the Polytrack. She has to improve to score but can do so in this sort of field with a decent draw of 3. AFRICAN TUNE has speed in his bloodline and is well worth a closer look on debut for Garth Puller.

FROZEN SNOW gets the vote on debut for the in-form Garth Junior team as a well-bred filly who should be wound up nicely for debut. QUEEN MERCURY is a progressive sort and is the pick with experience. Last seen 3rd over C&D she needed the introduction to this surface and should sharpen further.

MAXINE DU MONDE has recent form lines here of 22432 and should once again be right amongst it at the finish, she is well deserving of a win. IQEMBULABESIFAZANE took a bit of a step backward last time when 6th over the mile here. Her prior effort in 4th was much better despite the margins being the same. A mix up of approach while going up in trip might see her take the final step needed to score.

EMERALD ISLA won her maiden over this trip and is very interesting now making yard bow for Garth Puller who has his string in fine order of late. She has pole position and can show up well. RAINBOW UNICORN has found 4th the last thrice and is a local winner. She could dig deep enough to have a crack here.

Race 6 – Greyville Racecourse
TO THE MAX failed to fire on turf latest but does all her best work on this surface so we must look back a bit. Her penultimate run saw her denied into 2nd over the extended mile here and she rates a fair chance out of barrier 2. CHELSEA FLOWER showed not a lot in 8th on debut but when shifted to Poly and given an extra couple of furlongs she blew rivals out of the water over C&D. She should only improve from here and demands respect.

LADY LEGEND has found her way into 3rd the last twice including over C&D by ¾ of a length. She is threatening another win over her proven track and trip and should go very close. RETAIL THERAPY won over 6f here by a nose and should not be troubled by the return to 7f where she struck the crossbar back in 2019.

DANDOLO is a temperamental sort who could take this out on talent if in the right mindset. Last seen ¾ of a length 2nd over 5f here the return to 6f should help his cause. AD ALTISIMA demands respect any time he runs on Poly and has won fresh before. He is a C&D specialist with 3 wins and 3 placings here.
