MISS JACQUELINE gets a tentative nod out of pole position after a close-up 4th on local bow at 14/1. She should be better off for the run and the return to 8f might pay dividends. ROY’S ROCKER is a big player after a much improved 3rd on local bow over C&D and can prove tough to beat out of barrier 2.

YOUNG NELSON went too hard in blinkers latest but still managed to find 2nd place. He has the ideal draw and could get it right here. THE GREEN GALLANT was a lacking 9th on penultimate run but showed it was a temporary blip when a nice ¾ length 3rd over the mile here and should relish the trip.

Race 4 – Greyville Racecourse
MAXIMUS made a good impression on local bow, finding 5th within under 2 lengths. It was his first run for Dean Kannemeyer and was over less than his ideal. Today’s trip should see him right in his element. RADAMES did not take to the pace in his post-maiden outing but was still 2nd by a head. He should benefit from the extra yardage today.

HIPPOCRATES won his maiden on 3rd start, home by a head over 7f here. Now upped in trip again with that under his belt he could double up. BRANDENBURG won from the front latest and if he is given the same opening to dictate the pace he’ll be tough to catch.

JUAN CARLOS is an interesting sort now racing for the Gareth Junior yard after 207 days off the track. If he takes to the surface he could prove hard to beat as a talented type with plenty of class. FATE OF FORTUNE won his debut with enough force to suggest he’ll remain competitive as he tries 7f.

JACK’S BIRD gave us a taste of things to come when a good 4th on the turf. A return to her winning C&D while paired with a handy 9lb claimer could see her back on track. That said she has a shocking draw to overcome. MEET AT THE GEORGE is well-drawn and respected as a C&D winner who has struck some solid turf form of late.

SNIPER SHOT returns to the poly after a spattering of decent efforts in defeat. He remains unexposed on this surface but has 2 places and a win from 5 outings. He is expected to put forth a convincing bid. RALPH THE RASCAL opened his account after 16 attempts and could bring his improvement across if all goes well.
