SEA CRUISE has shown glimpses of potential and may well put forth a compelling bid from pole positon after a few months rest. SEA OF TRANQUILITY tried to make all over 5f on this surface but had to settle for 3rd. She should relish the return to C&D where she was 4th but within 2 lengths after being hampered.

Race 2 – Greyville Racecourse
LUCKY MISS was a pleasing trip 2nd at Scottsville latest behind a speedy rival. She tries the Poly and could get it right on the first attempt with a nice draw of 3. INDOMAVEL has found the frame in 4 of 10 runs to date and has come agonisingly close in a few of them. She has enough talent to take the next step here.

IMBEJEJE showed ample potential as a juvenile, striking the crossbar in her first couple of runs. She capped that season off with a shocking misfire over 6f at Scottsville. She can make amends on comeback from pole positon and with experience to work from. LA FILLE has posted solid efforts in defeat against fair rivals on the Highveld and could make a splash now making yard bow for Nathan Kotzen.

Race 4 – Greyville Racecourse
TRUMPS EXPRESS was denied by half a length over slightly longer a month ago at 18/1. That was his best effort to date and he may well be able to go one better for the experience. MASTER KEEKU has proven himself a speedy sort on turf and is very interesting if he takes to the Poly.

Race 5 – Greyville Racecourse
IMPARTIAL does his best work on turf but might be able to get it right today off the back of a much-improved 3rd within ¾ of a length of the front. His rider takes a handy 9lb off and he has the best of the barriers. FATEFUL DAY was well-backed on Poly debut and only beat 2 home but wasn’t completely disgraced. The trip was too long and now trying 5f out of gate 2 he could get it right.

Race 6 – Greyville Racecourse
COUP DE TETE was a front-running winner over the extended 9f last time. He returns to another winning C&D and should continue his peak run from pole position. PSYCHO KING is in great shape having won 2 of his last 3 including a C&D appearance. He is vulnerable at the weights and will have to make further improvement, but remains capable.

Race 7 – Greyville Racecourse
TIGER TANK comes back from a spell after a spattering of efforts at higher levels. He has recent form lines of 2122 including a C&D win and should he be ready to roll could take all the beating. ARUMUGAM is improving with each run as a 3 year old and is coming off the back of an emphatic win over the extended 9f here. That would be a nice confidence boost but the field was much weaker so he has his work cut out today.

Race 8 – Greyville Racecourse
ARCTIC PRINCESS returns to her ideal surface and can continue her already strong progression. She’s a C&D winner who has really come into her own for the fitting of blinkers. FAMILY FAVOURITE came out of nowhere when making enormous gains to land a Scottsville maiden at juicy 66/1 odds. He’s been off since then and could do enough to show that was no fluke.

MAXIMUS was an eye-caching 5th on local debut and went on to win when upped to the extended mile. He is dropped back to 7f today but it could prove ideal for a follow up. MAJORCA PALACE is the danger from barrier 2 if allowed to get an early lead and does his best work here.
