DOUBLE CHECK launches from pole position and looks set to unlock further progression now tackling 7f for the first time. GRAYSWOOD PINK is trip suited and highly respected for the red-hot Candice Bass-Robinson team.

SAINT WEST is holding his form well, striking the crossbar the last twice by very narrow margins. The return to 9f can see him press his claims. ASSURED has found the frame in all 5 runs since joining Zietsman Oosthuizen. He should win more than he has so maybe he needs something to chase. Nevertheless his place appeal is significant.

GLOBAL DRUMMER has won 11 of his 14 starts and looks very difficult to oppose here. He is destined for bigger and better things and can take this out from barrier one. MR COBBS is respected having won his last couple by narrow margins. He has every right to shoot for the hat trick but the selection is going to take a lot of beating and he’s arguably much more effective over 5f.

KATIE TO failed to fire on the Poly here under penalty for a good 2nd at Kenilworth. She could get it right this time now returning to 12f. SWAZI QUEEN has improved a lot since being fitted with blinkers and is respected as a local winner who has come close over this trip in the past.

NORTON SOUND kicked his career off with a couple of wins before striking the crossbar three times in a row. He hasn’t been far back in any of his 7 starts and was last seen winning readily on comeback over 7f here. He can go in again with that under his belt. SKY GOD opened his account over 7f at Durban and now the penny has dropped he’s been sent over for a raid and could bring home some loot.

BLINGKING had unlocked significant improvement since joining Alan Greeff, winning all 4 runs with credit. He races well fresh and should be right in the mix once more.
