PEACE IN OUR WORLD returns to the track a 3 year old on hat trick bid following a couple of narrow but convincing wins over 7f here. The mile should suit and he can land the spoils for Gavin Smith. HERODOTUS is well-treated at the weights and while he has a pretty lacking record of 2 wins from 27 runs his latest 3rd was workable and he is capable enough on paper.

KUNTA KINTE posted a career-best 3rd on local bow over this trip on the AW. He was well-held that day but this is a fairly weak field and he can sharpen further. NUSSPLY was an improved 3rd last time over 12f here and the drop in trip should not be much trouble, he retains scope for improvement since joining Gavin Smith.

BHAKKA has won 2 of his 3 runs since joining Gavin Smith and was most unfortunate when 7th on the other run with excuses. He is C&D suited and should be the one to beat. ASSURED is in top shape and from a nice draw of 2 should be on the premises.

Race 5 – Fairview Racecourse
CAIRON is on the hunt for the coveted local hat trick and has done enough in both legs to suggest he’ll be a tough nut to crack. HOMER FIDGET battled his way to 2nd by a neck over the extended 9f on the AW last time and the return to turf should be a positive.

RATTLE MOUSE showed plenty of heart when she found 3rd over C&D but is not a consistent operator. She’s trip suited and could show up here at a nice price if she brings the right mindset. FIND ME UNAFRAID suffered from bad luck when beating just one home over 10f here, he wasn’t far back and should recover somewhat here.

KISS OF LIFE probably prefers slightly more yardage but has done enough to suggest she can win this on paper. SOUND CHECK is better than what we saw back in July and if she’s fighting fit she can remind us of her excellent early form.

SWEET THE SOUND showed the right stuff from day dot when 2nd by a head over C&D. She backed it up when going one better on return before failing to fire in June. She’s back from a few months off and if ready she could bounce back nicely. VIC FALLS did some excellent late work to find 2nd by half a length and could fire up once more.

MOUSEY ON OVER looks hard to oppose after a C&D win on penultimate run at 18/1 and he lost nothing when 4th by 2 lengths on double bid. MARSH MARIGOLD had plenty left in the tank when winning with 3+ on the AW here and should have more now having tasted success.
