STRADIVARIUS is eased in grade on the hunt for a confidence boost following a neck defeat in the Goodwood Cup last month. He is unbeaten in 6 runs here and looks hard to beat on these terms. Don’t expect much of a price on him. TRUESHAN is dangerous, especially if there’s any rain. He was right behind the selection at Goodwood and has to be taken very seriously.

ROYAL SCOTSMAN was last seen readily winning the Richmond Stakes at Goodwood last month. A well-timed late burst of impressive speed could be employed to secure him a superb G2 double. NOBLE STYLE has won both career starts to date and certainly looks worth sending up to this level for Charlie Appleby. He has ample scope for improvement and could come out swinging now paired with William Buick.

ROYAL ACCLAIM gets the vote to keep her unbeaten streak alive on start number four. She was a superb winner of the City Walls at Listed level here latest and should be able to take on this tougher task in style. FLOTUS is respected for the Crisfords, last seen taking out the G3 Summer Stakes here. She’s capable of giving the older horses a run for their money.

AMANZOE has won her last 3 impressively and looks poised to continue her top run with Tom Marquand returning to the plate. A further 3lb hike isn’t a concern and she’s looking to be on her way to bigger and better. SHAMPION is respected off the back of a dominant 4 length maiden win at Windsor when upped to this trip. Now going handicapping an 84 mark looks very workable indeed.

DESERT ORDER made a strong start to life when 3rd at Newmarket in July before going one better when beaten a short head into 2nd at Sandown when upped to the mile. A drop back to 7f and the benefit of the experience can see him a leading contender. SALT LAKE CITY made a fair impression in 2nd on debut at the Curragh earlier in the month and could enter the mix for Aidan O’Brien and Ryan Moore.
