DRAMATISED snuck home in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot despite a hiccup in the run. That was her 2nd start to date and she’s already facing an exciting hat trick. She’s capable of eking out further improvement now afforded another furlong of run. KINTA won her first couple on the AW before being far from disgraced when 2nd at Ascot on turf bow in the G2 Princess Margaret. She has to be considered here for George Boughey.

METAHORSE is a highly progressive colt who has won his last couple in good style. He won’t be troubled by a drop back to 6f and can meet this challenge in stride. WASHINGTON HEIGHTS is a danger, having shown ample promise in his 3 outings to date.

BOOSALA makes appeal on return from a short spell. He has been doing good work in defeat since a 7f win at Doncaster in November. He should be in a good spot to regain the winning feeling, with Tom Marquand back in the plate. BASS PLAYER showed significant improvement when a short head 2nd over this trip at Newmarket. He’s a danger off 1lb higher with Jack Mitchell returning to ride.

ALPINISTA has won her last 6 in style, including her last 4 at Group 1 level. Last seen home in the Prix Saint-Cloud across the Channel, she’s looking rather hard to beat as she seeks to make up for last year’s 2nd placing in this race. TUESDAY is better than her Irish Derby 4th and can enter the mix as the reigning Epsom Oaks champion.

GOLDEN LYRA is well-treated off a 101 mark and looks set to go one better than her 2nd at this level on penultimate run. A return to turf over a trip she just won with 5 in hand over can see her go very well. MIMIKYU is improving markedly with each run, last seen scoring over this trip at Newmarket with 6 in hand. This Gosden filly looks primed for a superb hat trick if she can account for the selection.

ONE NATION has just been getting better and better as he goes for Charlie Appleby. He has a nice hat trick firm in the crosshair off an 8lb higher mark following a successful nursery debut. X J RASCAL is a debut winner who hasn’t been able to replicate his success in 3 starts since but has nonetheless found 2nd by a head the last twice. He can chase the selection home or even challenge with a good run.

QUEEN AMINATU was most pleasing when ½ a length 2nd at Haydock latest, despite being a beaten (joint) favourite. A reproduction of that effort here can see Willie Haggas’ filly go one better. MOBADRA had the situation in better control than the ¾ of a length margin suggested when successful at Chelmsford latest. A 4lb higher mark is very workable on hat trick bid but she does have a bit of work in this tougher field.
