OBELIX caught the eye when 2nd on debut at HQ last month. Now running with experience, this Gosden colt could go one better. NADER KING is pick of the newcomers for Sir Michael Stoute, sporting strong pedigree and the capable hand of Ryan Moore in the plate.

MISE EN SCENE did well to hold onto 6th in the Group 3 Atalanta Stakes at Sandown latest. A slight ease in task and the extra couple of furlongs can see her build on that nicely. SHAARA is a danger having won 3 of her 4 outings to date, including when upped to this trip at Nottingham just over a month ago.

LATTAM has won both outings to date in the novice ranks for Willie Haggas. Now he’s sent handicapping off a mark of 89 with Tom Marquand taking the ride. The pair look likely to secure the coveted hat trick. ADJOURN wasn’t great in 6th at Ascot latest but his prior form is strong. A return to that standard could come now dropped back in trip.

X J RASCAL is a debut winner who has turned out to be highly progressive, notching a couple of 2nd placings before scoring again in handicap ranks at Doncaster a week ago. STAR PLAYER can chase him home as a last start winner who has more to come but probably needs more time in the oven before success number two.

CANCAN IN THE RAIN was a ready winner when upped to 7f here at the end of August. Now making nursery bow he’s interesting dropped back in trip but looks well-treated off a 78. DELIRIOUS DREAM looks very dangerous having won his maiden over 5f and rattled the crossbar a couple of times over this trip prior.

DARK SIDE THUNDER arrives in the form of his life, winning his last three by varying margins over the Polytrack. His last turf outing saw him beaten into 2nd by ¾ of a length so there’s a fair chance he can bring his form across surfaces. TIME STEP is interesting sporting a first-time tongue-tie following back to back 2nd placings following a debut win at Ffos Las. He could prove very dangerous here.
