MESSAGE PERSONNEL won well in heavy going across the Channel in July and was a decent 5th on UK/yard debut for Dan Skelton in December. He has ample scope and can go well in this sort of field. GRAYSTONE was tracking for a dominant score when falling at the last at Taunton at the end of December. He can make amends off a 3lb lower mark with Bryony Frost retaining the ride.

ROCK OF STAR had plenty in hand when scoring on handicap bow at Chepstow 10 days ago. The 7lb penalty can be overcome, with plenty more progression likely in these ranks. WALK IN MY SHOES has found 3rd in both runs since joining Jonjo O’Neill. The winner of her latest appearance has franked the form handsomely since so she should go well once more.

Race 4 – Wetherby Racecourse
REALM KEEPER capped off a couple of impressive wins with a lacking effort at Aintree in the G3 Randox Topham. He has since had wind surgery and could get back on track off a 128 mark. BUSTER VALENTINE was a strong 2nd over C&D off this mark at 16/1 odds on Boxing Day. He could confirm the form in this small field if the selection needs the outing.

LUPUS REGEM was tracking to contest the finish at Uttoxeter on yard bow for Olly Murphy before unseating his rider. He made amends immediately when home over C&D in December. He can double down with that under his belt for a powerful yard. STRIKE OF LIGHTNING struck the crossbar between the flags before a promising 3rd on rules debut in a bumper. Now making UK/yard debut he can go well over timber.

ROSSBEIGH STRAND is a winning pointer who wasn’t anything special on bumper debut. He really came into his own when 2nd at Chepstow at 33/1 and while probably better over further could go one better here. WHERE’S HECTOR has struck the crossbar in both outings to date including over this trip on debut at 80/1. He should enter calculations here with Harry Bannister retaining the ride.

SPOT ON SOPH is a progressive sort who backed up a strong maiden win over this trip at Catterick with a good 2nd over 25f at the same course. Back down in trip off 2lb higher she can get right back on top. LADY OF THE NIGHT has shown promise over timber and is trip suited, she could go quite well now tackling fences.

BIRD ON THE WIRE opened the account in good style with 4+ in hand at Doncaster 16 days ago. A 5lb hike won’t stop him from putting forth another strong account over this ideal trip. MALINAS ISLAND is respected after being toppled into 2nd after being sent off favourite at Market Rasen following a strong Lingfield maiden win in November.
