Race 2 – Warwick Racecourse
GALAHAD THREEPWOOD was a solid 3rd on hurdle debut after showing ample promise on the flat. Ben Pauling’s recruit is likely to benefit from the run and the extra trip here. QUID PRO QUO is worth a market check as he returns from 437 days off and wind surgery to make his hurdle bow. A winner in the bumpers on debut, he’s trying out a tongue-tie and if not in need of an outing could make a move.

SOFIA’S ROCK won readily with 9 in hand at Ludlow latest and looks primed for a nice double as his rider’s claim cancels the 7lb penalty in its entirety. JOHN BETJEMAN didn’t land a blow on return to the flat late last month but should be fitter for the outing. He’s a trip winner who often finds his way onto the podium in this sphere.

GREAT D’ANGE won with authority and 6 length sin hand over slightly shorter late last month. A 4lb hike seems very lenient and he’s fancied to double up with the yardage tipped to suit. BUNNY BORU was 2nd that day and can once more chase the selection home and bring home some minor money.

PERCY’S WORD won convincingly over C&D on comeback run. He lines up against mainly out of form rivals and despite the 7lb penalty looks likely to make another bold bid for the Skeltons. MISS HERITAGE demands respect having won a G2 at Doncaster with a huge 15 in hand. This is a massive drop in class and she has to be respected.

JOKE DANCER has won 2 of his last 3 including with 10 in hand over a similar trip at Kelso a fortnight back. Handed a fair 7lb hike he’s looking capable of a nice double with Brian Hughes back in the plate. LEAPAWAY landed a pleasing 2nd at 40/1 odds at Chepstow on comeback run a month ago and is capable more now wound up.

HILLVIEW has won 4 of his last 5, including a hat trick latest. He’s getting better as he goes and is widening his winning margins along the way. He gets the vote to complete the 4 timer off 6lb higher. STARSKY could offer the most resistance off the back of a narrow defeat into 2nd at Stratford and is eased 2lb for the effort.
