MANDALAY hasn’t been far beaten all year and has some useful trip 3rd placings at Vaal to work from. She is well-drawn for her offensive today. EXISTENTIALIST was well-backed on debut but pulled up lame after and wasn’t able to get into gear. He is worth chancing again here.

I’M IN LOVE has posted many close efforts in defeat, including ½ a length 2nd at Vaal latest. Another furlong of run could get the required improvement out of Paul Peter’s filly. GRAPHENE AEROGEL is forgiven a misfire at Greyville latest. Her prior form saw her find 2nd 4 times running and she’s capable of adding to that.

Race 4 – Turffontein Racecourse
DON’T TOUCH ME has been in a good pocket of form since joining Paul Peter, winning over 7f at Scottsville before a couple of efforts in the money at Greyville. He returns to turf where he should be just as effective. HUMBLE TUNE was well-below standard at Vaal latest and is best judged on prior efforts, including a ¾ length 2nd over the mile here in July.

VANDERBILT has become a new horse since joining Paul Peter and being fitted with blinkers. He has won all 4 starts in good style and is looking hard to beat as he goes on to bigger and better. DUKE OF RAIN may well be the primary threat, much better off at the weights and wasn’t too far beaten by the selection at Vaal.

IT’S ABOUT TIME has been in a ripe pocket of placed form of late and warrants plenty of consideration now back over 5f. He’s an honest sort who should win more than he does. MOONSHININGTHROUGH is unbeaten in both starts to date, each over 6f here. She is interesting dropped in trip on hat trick bid.

IGNATIUS was well-backed on debut but was too green to go better than 6th. Still there was something to take from that effort and he’s highly likely to be much sharper for the outing. BIG FIVE has found 2nd the last 4 times running and could fill a similar role, or even challenge.
